If you are interested in Physics, Biology, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, then the Master’s Program in “Optics and Photonics” at the Karlsruhe School of Optics & Photonics is just right for you!
In Optics & Photonics, scientific and engineering topics are combined with each other – application-relevant topics such as sensor technology or image processing for autonomous driving are only examples of fields of application of optics and photonics.
The Master’s program is international and industry-oriented.
Choose KSOP if you want to be part of a multicultural English-language program and pursue an international career!
Our cooperation with industry facilitates access to internships, master’s theses or as a career starter. Lectures on topics such as “Modern Physics” or “Business Innovation in Optics & Photonics” in cooperation with ZEISS are part of the study program.
Finally, to deepen knowledge networks with industry and academia, KSOP offers the Karlsruhe Days of Optics and Photonics (KDOP) every two years: a scientific symposium with lectures by renowned scientists* and opportunities to talk about the current state of research in optics & photonics.
This year’s KDOP will be held in Karlsruhe on November 16-17, 2023.
Apply by September 30 for intake 2023!
