The BGSE offers structured doctoral program that combines demanding course work with early individual research in a supportive and intellectually demanding environment. Outstanding (top 10%) students holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or related fields (e.g. mathematics, statistics, business administration, accounting, and finance) are encouraged to apply for admission.
All BGSE activities are conducted in English. A number of grants are available. All students are provided with adequate office space. Our student body benefits from an excellent faculty and numerous collaborative research activities.

Estonaian Scholarships for international students

The Estonian Government offers a number of scholarships intended for university students, researchers or lecturers for studying and doing research at Estonian public universities and institutions. Mostly scholarships are for master’s degree and doctoral degree, but some bachelor degree scholarships are also possible.

Latvian scholarships and fellowships for academic year 2013/2014

Latvia offers scholarships to students, researchers and teaching staff from several countries for:
- studies in Latvian higher education institutions,
- research work in Latvian higher education institutions,
- as well as for participation in summer schools organized by Latvian higher education institutions.
Tuition language at Latvian higher education institutions is Latvian, but there are a lot of study programmes offered in English (please visit the website: www.studyinlatvia.lvfor more information).
Only citizens from countries which have signed an Agreement or offer scholarships for Latvian students can apply for the Latvian government scholarships. See the section Signed Agreements.

Lithuanian State Scholarships for the academic year 2013-2014
Lithuanian state scholarships programme is designed for the advanced students, lecturers or researchers of foreign higher education and research institutions to enable them to study or carry out research at higher education and research institutions of the Republic of Lithuania. Students, lecturers and researchers from different fields of studies or research are welcome to apply for Lithuanian state scholarships.
